Processing - Arithmetic Units

• Separate processing sections on each AU includes:

  • Internal crosspoint
    • 10 (10-bit) in by 12 (10-bit) out for data path routing within AU
    • 16x16 (1-bit) crosspoint for routing binary data within AU
  • Linear section
    • linear combinations of up to 4 data streams (e.g. multiply, add, normalize)
    • process 10-bit data with 10-bit or 20-bit output
